Lukaku has reiterated his desire to leave Stamford Bridge after returning from a season-long loan at Inter Milan, but Chelsea are running out of time to sell the 30-year-old after deals with Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal and Inter fell through.

After rejecting an offer from Al Hilal early in the transfer window, Lukaku turned down the chance to return to Inter in a deal said to be worth A$51m, much to the dismay of club director Beppe Marotta.

“There are some goals that you think you’re going to achieve, but in the end, it doesn’t,boda8” Marotta said this week.

“I can only say that Lukaku is very disappointing. I don’t know where he will go now, there are not many options left, I don’t think he will return to Italy, there are only 10 days left.”

Lukaku has been training with Chelsea’s Under-21s and has yet to speak to new manager Mauricio Pochettino, according to The Telegraph.
