With just over a week left in the summer transfer window, jack87.com/boda8 Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku’s future remains a mystery.
Lukaku has reiterated his desire to leave Stamford Bridge after returning from a season-long loan at Inter Milan, but Chelsea are running out of time to sell the 30-year-old after deals with Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal and Inter fell through.
After rejecting an offer from Al Hilal early in the transfer window, Lukaku turned down the chance to return to Inter in a deal said to be worth A$51m, much to the dismay of club director Beppe Marotta.
“There are some goals that you think you’re going to achieve, but in the end, it doesn’t,boda8” Marotta said this week.
“I can only say that Lukaku is very disappointing. I don’t know where he will go now, there are not many options left, I don’t think he will return to Italy, there are only 10 days left.”
Lukaku has been training with Chelsea’s Under-21s and has yet to speak to new manager Mauricio Pochettino, according to The Telegraph.
Chelsea are still refusing to let Lukaku leave on loan,boda8 mobile
with Juventus currently the only club actively pursuing him, according to The Telegraph.
Juventus have made several exchange offers for Lukaku to Chelsea, including taking Dusan Vlahovic off the wage bill, but Chelsea have rejected them.
Lukaku quickly ran out of options and wants either Juventus or Chelsea to soften their stance before the summer transfer window closes on August 31.
